Improving knowledge and confidence of practice staff
What does this mean?
We will measure if the intervention improved the knowledge, confidence and attitudes of practice nurses and staff in providing care for patients with intellectual disability.

How will we measure this?
Knowledge
We will test knowledge using a scale developed and tested by our team of researchers. It is designed to assess key intellectual disability health knowledge.
Confidence
We will assess any change in confidence of supporting patients with intellectual disability. We will test this using a confidence scale specific to intellectual disability developed and validated in 2015 by Dagnan et al.
Attitudes
We will use a scale developed in 2006 by Akrami et al to assess attitudes towards people with intellectual disability, and whether these change before and after receiving the intervention.
